For the glory of your name, Jesus. We love you. We thank you. We bless you today. And it's in that mighty name that we pray. And all God's people said,
amen and amen.
What's going on Cornerstone? Hey. If you got a bible, go ahead and turn with me to the book of Exodus chapter number three. This morning, we're gonna kick off a brand new series entitled the greatest story ever. Here's what I'm gonna do. In the interest of time,
I wanna go ahead and just pray and ask the Holy Spirit to be with us during our time together, and then we'll jump into the text. Holy Spirit, we love you. Thank you for being our helper. Thank you for being our advocate. Thank you for being our friend. And in this moment Holy Spirit, would you rest in this room?
Would you begin to do open heart surgery on every single one of us beginning with the man on the platform? Holy Spirit, we don't just want to be hearers of the word, but we want to be doers of your word. So as this message goes forth, cause us to be doers, and I pray that you would be the only one that is glorified.
Thank you. God bless you. I praise you. Jesus' name, we pray and give thanks. And everyone said, amen. Exodus chapter number three, we're gonna look at verses one through 15, but just to get us started, I'm actually only gonna read verses one through four.
Exodus chapter three, if you got a bible, go ahead and turn there. Read it from the New Living Translation. If you don't have a bible, it's okay. You can look up on the screen. Exodus three one through four. Here's what it says. It says, one day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro,
the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. There, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn't burn up. This is amazing,
Moses said to himself. Why isn't that bush burning up? I must go see it. And when the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, Moses.
Moses. And we'll stop right there. Just for a few moments, wanna teach from this thought. When God calls, will you answer? Say it again. When God calls, will you answer? Y'all one of the greatest things I get to do in life is be a dad.
My wife and I, we've been married for fourteen years. We just celebrated this past Tuesday, and the Lord has blessed us with three amazing kids. My oldest son, he is 11 years old. His name is Brent. We call him Elby
for little Brent. When I worked here on staff, Elby was famous for always making sure that the staff stocked him up with candy and snacks in between services. Then I have my middle child, my daughter, Zuri. She is five. She was actually dedicated right here in this church.
And following in her brother's footsteps, she now does the same thing at the church we attend today, making sure she gets stocked up on all the candies and snacks. And then we have our third child, our youngest child. Her name is Sage, and she is an amazing six week old baby.
Yeah. Now don't be on. I need y'all to be praying because I ain't getting no sleep. Alright? I need y'all to be praying. I need some z's in my life. And and this parenting journey has been absolutely awesome. And for those of us who are parents in the room, you know it could also be a bit of a roller coaster ride.
Sometimes it feels like you're just taking a walk in the park. You just didn't know that the park was called Jurassic Park.
And how many of you know that, like, your kids are super sweet, and then there's something like a switch that just hits the moment they get to middle school? It's like you just they just can't get right. Bless their little heart. K?
Let me put this on the front end. I love my son, Brent, with all of my heart. Love my son, Brent, with all of my soul. I have told that boy to his face. I said, son, I would never want any other kid in the world. I you're the greatest son ever, and I absolutely mean that.
And like most kids his age at 11 years old, he's in this season, he's in this phase to where he's not necessarily making some of the best decisions. So this week, I caught him in the middle of making one of those decisions that isn't necessarily one of the best decisions.
And it led to us having a really really really hard conversation that eventually turned into a really really sweet moment. And as I caught my son in the middle of of making one of these decisions, of course, I asked him. I said, son, why why did you do this? And here's what he said. I don't know.
Like most 11 year old boys. But because the conversation was a little intense, he he had this look of just like of shame, this look of guilt. Like, feel really bad that I did this. It wasn't just the fact that I got caught. It was the fact that I actually feel bad about the decision that I made.
And here's what's really cool that came out of the conversation with my son, and we started having this with not just me and him. It was me, him, and also my wife, his mom.
And he said, in so many words, he said, dad, the reason why I'm making some of the decisions I'm making, here's what I think that I'm struggling with. He says, I don't know who I am. And I gotta give credit to an 11 year old boy to be able to say and recognize, I don't know who I am.
But here's the reality. You know what I figured out? There's some folks in their twenties and thirties and forties and fifties and sixties and seventies that if they're honest with themselves, they don't know who they are. It's not just the thing that happens to the 11 year old boy.
Pastor Brent, why are you telling me this story? The reason why I'm telling you this story is because the truth of the matter is if we really dig deep into the text,
Moses is a man who doesn't know who he is. To give you the backstory on Moses, Moses, in all honesty, is an orphan. You see he's born as a Hebrew, part of the lineage of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob through the tribe of Levi. But he's raised as an Egyptian growing up in Egypt surrounded by nothing but idol worship. Moses has no idea
the call of God that rests his life. So he is just simply living life day to day and unfortunately is making some very questionable decisions. One of those decisions that he made is one day Moses was singing Egyptian beating on a Hebrew slave,
and Moses lets anger get the best of him. And do you know what Moses does? Moses kills this Egyptian. He commits capital murder. But to take it a step further, he doesn't just commit capital murder. He tries to cover up the murder, hide what he does.
But he quickly realizes that someone actually caught him in the act of committing murder and instead of owning up to his mistakes, instead of raising his hand and saying, yeah, did it. I'll take whatever punishment you give, Moses actually runs away, starts a brand new life,
goes and gets married to this young lady named Zipporah, ends up running his father in law's business, Jethro, and they raise sheep. And he's out there just doing this in the country for years never taking accountability for the mistakes that he's made and never truly figuring out who am I. Then one day
God decides to call Moses. Now I don't know if Moses was having Verizon or AT and T or Sprint. If he has Sprint, bless his heart. But Moses picks up the phone, and he starts to have a conversation with God, this encounter with God. And this encounter with God changes everything.
And I just want to say on the front end of this message that today the Lord is ringing your line and he's ready to have an encounter with you. And this is my prayer that as he is calling, my prayer is that you would answer his call. And for the next few minutes, I just wanna give you four reasons why you should answer
when God gives you a call. Let's pick up really quickly. Verse number four. Here's what it says really quickly, and then I'll give you point number one. When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush. Moses, Moses,
here I am. Moses replied, do not come any closer, the Lord warned. Take off your sandals for you are standing on holy ground.
I am the god of your father, the god of Abraham, the god of Isaac, and the god of Jacob. When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at god. Reason number one you wanna answer the phone when god calls
is because God wants you. God wants you. One of the number one tricks of the enemy is to make people believe that because you have a past, because you've got a background, because you've lived or currently live a life that's full of sin. He tries to convince you that you're that God doesn't want you.
And here's what I've learned as I've continued to walk with Jesus for over twenty years now. I have come to discover y'all that our God who is full of divinity loves to connect with us in a broken humanity. You see God no if no ands or buts about it. He is a holy God. That word holy just means to be separate.
But here's what's awesome about God. Just because he is separate doesn't mean he wants us to be apart from him. He actually wants us to draw closer to him. And God has a history of loving to use people who I like to call a hotmess.com. Think about it. Moses is a murderer. Moses
is a man on the run. Moses is a man who doesn't take accountability for his actions, but yet and still for one reason or another,
God wants to connect with this man named Moses. And here's the reason why God loves to connect with people who have a past, who have a history, who are broken, and who are full of sin. The reason why God loves to connect with these people is because he wants to give us a brand new identity in him.
He wants you to come to this place where you understand that you are not the mistakes that you made, and God doesn't just do this for Moses. Here's what's amazing. Moses, on the front end of his life, is this man who was known as a murderer, as a man who was known as being a man on the run. But when the story ends, here's what we know Moses asked. We know him as Moses the deliverer.
God uses him to deliver an entire people out of bondage, but he doesn't just do this for Moses. He does this for this young man named Jacob. Remember, he's the God of Abraham. He's the God of Isaac. He's the God of Jacob. For those who might have missed Sunday school, y'all Jacob is known as a trickster.
Jacob is known as a manipulator. But one day, Jacob has an encounter with the god of the universe, and here's what happens. He changes his name from Jacob to Israel, birthing the 12 tribes of Israel, but he doesn't do it for Jacob. Let me take you to the New Testament.
There's another young man by the name of Saul, and y'all Saul was a horrible human being. Saul was persecuting Christians left and right. Saul was burning Christians alive and hanging them upside down on the stake. Saul was a modern day terrorist. But one day when Saul was taking a walk on this road called Damascus,
y'all, he ran into this man named Jesus,
and when he ran into Jesus, he completely and totally flipped his life upside down. He went from being Saul to Paul, and Paul ends up writing two thirds of the New Testament, becomes one of the most influential Christians in human history and he not only that, he plants more churches than anybody else in existence.
God loves to take broken people and give them a brand new identity. But I can tell that some of y'all haven't had y'all coffee today because I'm getting some late claps and some late replies. So
if Moses wasn't good enough for you, if Jacob wasn't good enough for you, if Paul wasn't good enough for you, let me tell you about a man named BJ. BJ is a man by the name of Brent Junior, and Brent Junior was the hottest of messes.com.
Let me tell you why. Because Brent Junior was sexually active as a teenager. Brent Junior was sneaking some alcoholic beverages at 12 and 13 and 14 years old when his parents weren't looking, and Brent Junior knew how to cuss better than most adults knew how to. But one day, he went to a little Pentecostal church in Pontiac, Michigan at 16 years old, went down to the altar because he felt like God was calling him, and he went down to the altar, had a supernatural experience with the Lord, and the Holy Spirit began to change him from the inside out. And now, Brent Junior is known as Brent, and he stands and he preaches the gospel, married to one woman, getting to raise three kids, but his biggest flex is not the fact that he preaches the gospel. His biggest flex is not that he's eloquent in speech, but his biggest flex is that he gets to walk with the God of the universe and he surrendered to him. That's his biggest flex.
And I came to tell somebody here today, the enemy has fed you this lie that God doesn't want you. Oh, my friend, like you couldn't be more wrong. He absolutely wants you. You and your brokenness, you and your sin, you and your wrong,
pursuing you. He is chasing you. Notice the text says that God called Moses and the same way God called Moses is the same way that God is calling you. Now here's the question. God why are you bothering me? Why you got to blow up my phone line? Here's the reason why, because God wants to use you. Let's
look at what the text goes on to say. It says this
beginning at verse number seven, Then the Lord told him, I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes.
I am aware of their suffering. So I've come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey, the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.
Look. The cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abused them. Now go, for I am sending you to pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt. Here's the Brent Hatcher translation. Moses,
I need your yes. And here's the reason why I need your yes Moses, because I want to use you to set an entire people free and get them out of bondage.
Have you ever thought to yourself or those of you who haven't completely and truly submitted your life to the Lord yet and the Lord's been calling you and you've been trying to ignore him you might have even put him on the black call list. Have you ever thought to yourself that whose life is being impacted
because I haven't said yes yet?
Your yes is much bigger than you my friend.
The truth of the matter is that there is somebody who is waiting on your yes to the Lord and the question is is who is it? Is it your spouse? Is it your kids? Is it your parents? Is it your siblings? Is it a co worker? A neighbor? Who's waiting on your yes. Here's the thing
instead of some of you telling God yes you know what you've been doing you've been running. And here's what I wanna tell you. Stop running because running never works out well for the person that's running from God. I've always kind of wondered when I look at the story of Adam and Eve.
After Adam and Eve bites of the fruit, what's the first thing that they do once they realize that they're in sin? They run and go hide. And you know what I've always wondered and we'll never know, but one of the things I've always wondered is how if things would have been different,
if instead of the moment they fell into sin, instead of running from God, they ran towards God. And again, I don't know if things would have been any different. But here's what I do know because they did run from God, now all of us got to deal with the consequences of their actions.
And if that's not good enough for you, here's what I want to tell you right now. You can run as far and as long as you want to, but man, when God has a call on your life, the problem is this, ain't no escaping. Have you ever asked Jonah how that worked out for him? That man was he was bent on not receiving calls from God.
And this man ended up being swallowed by a well. Now here's what's interesting. It is scientifically impossible for a well to swallow a human being. Impossible. And here's what I figured out, with God all things are possible.
So when Jonah ended up in the mouth of that well, God did something to that well, he said, whooped me open up this belly and put that man in there until he finally come to me and repent. Don't you get swallowed by Noelle because you're running. I wanna encourage you instead of running from God,
what does it look like for you to surrender? What does it look like for you to say God not my will but your will be done? Now as God calls you, I need to forewarn you. When God calls you and you decide to answer, here's point number three. I need you to know this, that God doesn't care about your excuses. Let
me let me show it to you in the text really quick. Here's what he says.
Verse number 11, but Moses protested to God. Let's see how this works out. Who am I to appear before pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt? And here's God's response to his little protest. God answered, Moses, let me tell you something real, son. I will be with you.
And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain. Breaking news. God don't care about your excuses.
Moses gave a bunch of them. If you go to chapter four, he talks about how he's got a stuttering problem. Moses, do you not realize that you're talking to the god who used this donkey who belonged to this man named Balaam, and a donkey spoke a language that human beings could speak?
If god could make a donkey talk, I'm pretty sure Moses your stuttering problem is no problem for the Lord. The Lord is not interested in your excuses. Here's what he is interested in. He's interested in your obedience.
One of the reasons why I need you to give God your yes is because we are in a spiritual war and this is the kingdom of light versus the kingdom of darkness. And let me tell you right now fam, the enemy ain't playing fair. The enemy is after your kids. The enemy is after your marriage. The enemy is after your family.
The enemy has a mark on this world and we need more men and women who are believers in Jesus to stand up and put on the whole armor of God to stand against the wiles of the devil. So
I wanna encourage you as a brother in Christ, not as a pastor, as a soldier in the army of the Lord. Man, we're trying to recruit you. I want you to take off your running shoes and I need you to put on your boots and and get your back back because it's time to ride. We've
got a kingdom we've got to grow and an enemy we've got to destroy and it's gonna take every single person in this room as we fight for the kingdom of heaven. Now when God calls you to answer one because he wants you. Two because he wants to use you. Three he don't care about your excuses.
But here's my fourth and my final point is because God wants to show you
who he is. You see when Moses has this encounter with God at the burning bush, he has no idea about the true power of God.
Seeing the bush consumed seeing the bush on fire but not being consumed is just the beginning for Moses. I want you to see what God says next to Moses here in verse number 13, but Moses again protested. If I go to the people of Israel and tell them the God of your
ancestors has sent me to you, they will ask me what is his name. Then what should I tell them? God replied to Moses, here's what I want you to say. Tell them that I am who I am. Say this to the people of Israel, I am has sent me to you.
God also said to Moses, say this to the people of Israel, Yahweh, the god of your ancestors, Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations. I could only imagine being in Moses's position trying to figure out
what in the world does God mean by I am that I am. I don't I've never heard a name like that before. I've heard of names like Abraham. I've heard of names like
Isaac. I've heard of names like Jacob and David and Paul and so on and so forth, but I have never heard a name called I am. Lord what in the world does that mean? Here's what it means. When God says that I am here's what he's saying,
I am the God who will be whatever you need him to be when you need him to be it as long as you are aligned within my will. That's what he means by I am the I am. And when and at when Moses finally gives God his yes, do you know what he gets to experience God as? He gets to experience him as the I am.
Let me tell you how. Moses goes and does this assignment that the Lord wants him to do. He goes and approaches Pharaoh and tells him on 10 different occasions, let my people go. And finally, after 10 different occasions of fighting with this evil man named Pharaoh, Pharaoh finally decides
to let all these Hebrews free out of slavery. Moses is getting ready to take them into the promised land. And as Moses is getting ready to take them into the promised land, all of a sudden Pharaoh has a change of heart. And he decides that he wants to now go and pursue Israel and make them come back and be slaves again.
So now Israel and Moses are on the run, and as they're on the run, they get to this spot, and it's a dead end because right in front of them is the Red Sea. If they go back, they'll be attacked and killed. If they go forward, they'll drown. God, what do I do?
And I believe there was a conversation between Moses and God. He said, Moses, remember when you protested with me? And I said, here's my promise to you, that I will be with you? And remember I told you that I am the I am? Let me show you what I mean. Pick up your staff and place it in the water. Moses takes his staff. He
puts it in the Red Sea. And the bible says that all of a sudden the Red Sea completely and totally splits. And Israel walks across the Red Sea. But when they walk across the Red Sea y'all they walk across to get all muddy because the bible says that they walked across and the ground was dry. Moses, I am that I am.
And that's not the only time that Moses got to experience God as the I am. You see Israel, let's just be honest y'all, they was knuckleheaded and they ended up having to wander in the wilderness for forty years. But here's what the bible says for forty years,
their shoes nor their clothes never walked out because he preserved them. When they were wandering in the wilderness y'all they was hungry. They wanted some in and out. And here's what God did. He made manna and quail fall from the sky. He was the God that provided.
You see the second reason why he says I'm not only the I am. He says I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. The reason why he says this is because he wants to make it abundantly clear that I am the God that is faithful from generation to generation to generation. That's the kind of God
that's calling me and you. So when he calls will you answer? By the time it's all said and done Moses doesn't go down in history as a murderer nor as a person who's on the run, but he goes down in history as a man who's known as a deliverer.
And because he gave God his yes, Moses didn't just impact the lives of millions of people. Moses impacted the lives of billions of people because we're still talking about him till this day. Some of you may be wondering, well, pastor Brent, whatever happened with the conversation with your son when he says, I don't know
who I am. The moment we shift gears in this part of the conversation, I have my son take a seat on the bed. And I said, son, here's the reality. I could tell you to stop doing this and I could tell you to stop doing that, and I can tell you to stop hanging out with this group of people.
And I understand that you are struggling with the fact that you don't know who you are. And here's the reason why you're struggling with with the fact that you don't know who you are. It's because you haven't established your identity in Christ yet.
Now here's what I need you to know about my son. My son has grown up in church. He can probably actually quote more scripture than most adults. But here's what I've also learned. Just because you can quote scripture doesn't necessarily mean that scripture has been written on your heart.
So then I look at my son and I said, son, I think here's the real problem. It's not the fact that you just haven't established your identity in Christ. Here's what I think the real problem is. I think the real problem is that you haven't accepted, truly accepted Jesus into your heart.
You're a church kid who's just used to church. But here's what I need you to know son. You do know you can't get into heaven based on me and mommy's relationship. Right? I said, yeah. He said, and here's my concern. You're at what we call the age of accountability.
I said, when the rapture comes, if Jesus were decided to come tomorrow and the rapture happens, I'm concerned.
I said, do you know what the rapture is? He said, yeah, daddy. I said, what's the rapture? He says, it's when Jesus comes back for all of the believers and everybody who is not a believer, they get stuck down here on Earth and they have to deal here on Earth for seven years and there's gonna be a period of tribulation and it's gonna be really bad. I said, god. God. Why are doing that Bible more than muscle felt?
I said, correct. I said, here's the problem. If Jesus decides to come back tomorrow, I'm a be gone. Your mom will be gone. Zuri and Sage will be gone. Because you're at the age of accountability, I'm concerned that you might be left behind. Now here's the thing.
I don't want you to do this just because I'm telling you to do this as your dad. I want you to do this because you genuinely want to do this on your own. I said, let me show you something real quick. I want you to open your bible son to Romans chapter 10. So he grabbed his Bible
and he opened up to Romans chapter 10, and I had him read verses nine and eleven.
And he reads it out loud to me. I say, son, read read verses nine through 11. And he starts reading and and here's what it says. It says, verse number nine, if you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Verse number 10, for it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God and is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. But verse number 11 is what really got him and hit home. Verse number 11 says this, as the scriptures tell us, anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.
Now in our conversation, we were using the word shame and the word shame and disgrace could be used interchangeably. I said, son, when I caught you in the middle of making this decision, what did you feel? Shame.
I said, but what did the Bible just tell you that happens to anyone who puts trust in him? They will never be what? Disgraced, which is another word for shame. They'll never have to feel shame when they trust in Jesus. So here's what I like to do son. If it's up to you if you want to,
are you really ready? Truly ready because you want to not because I want to. Truly ready to accept Jesus in your heart. And he went like this.
And then my wife looked at him and said, wait a minute, Brent. Now, LB, we want you to do this because you wanna do this, not because we're telling you. Do you really want to accept Jesus in your heart? And again, he goes,
I said, okay, son. I'm a do this the same way I would do it at church. So here's what I want you to do. I want you to bow your head and close your eyes. So he bowed his head and closed his eyes. And I said, repeat after me. And I said, lord Jesus. He said, lord Jesus. I confess with my mouth. I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart. I believe in my heart that Jesus is lord. That Jesus is lord. Fill me with the holy spirit. Fill me with the holy spirit. I repent of my sins. I repent of my sins. Believe me and guide me. Lead me and guide me. And establish my identity. Establish my identity in Christ in Christ. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name. Amen. And once we got done praying the prayer,
we both lifted up our head. And when I looked at my son's face, there were these tears that were streaming down his face. The whole time we're having a conversation, not one single tear, but after this prayer, he is just weeping.
And I look at him in his eyes and I say son you look lighter. And unprompted he leans in and gives me the biggest hug he could possibly give me. And once we separate, said, now here's what I need you to know son. There's a mark on your back.
The enemy is not happy with the decision you just made. And you know what he's gonna try to do? He's gonna try to remind you of some of the bad decisions you've made in the past. Here's what I need you to know as a dad. I don't give two craps about those bad decisions you made because here's what scripture teaches
that we're a new creation in Christ Jesus. All things have been made new.
So you start walking as a child of God that you are because you've received a new identity in Christ. Pastor Brent, why are telling me this? Because I feel like there are some adults that are in this room who need the same moment that my son had.
You're 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 years old. You've made some decisions that you regret and part of it is because you don't know who you are. And today the Lord is ringing your line because he wants to establish your identity in Christ. He wants you to become a new creature in Christ.
So if you're here in this room today, you've been listening to this message, here's what we're gonna do. Every head bow, every eye close. Every head bow, every eye close. I'm the only one who's looking. If you're in this room today, you listen to this message and you're saying pastor Brent there's no if,
there are no ands, there are no buts about it. This message was for me. I'm not a believer in Jesus. I haven't established my identity in Christ. I
know I need to surrender. I've been running and it's time for me to stop running because I know that the Lord has a call on my life and I wanna accept Jesus in my heart to be my Lord and savior. If that's you, I'm a countdown from three. I just simply want you to slip your hand in the air. 321. Go ahead and slip your hand in the air if that's you. I see 12345.
I can't even count. It's a whole lot of hands. Okay. Put those hands down. Praise God. If you slipped your hand in the air and it was roughly 30 or so hands that I believe I saw. If you slipped your hands in the air, I want you to say this prayer. Repeat after me. Say Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I confess with my mouth
and believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Lead me and guide me and establish my identity in Christ. In Jesus name, amen. Alright. Here's what we're gonna do. If that was you and you just said that prayer for the very first time, we wanna celebrate you.
This room is going to erupt for you because you have just been enlisted in the army of the Lord and are a part of the family of God. I'm gonna count down from three. If that's you, if you just said that prayer for the very first time, once I hit zero, I just want you to stand so we could celebrate you. Here we go. Three, two, one, and stand. Come on. If that's you, stand. Let's
go. Love you, my man. Let's go, my man. Let's go. Come on. Come on. Come on. Let's go.
So proud of you. Stay standing. Stay standing. Stay standing. Now here's the truth. In a room this size, here's what I know. There's actually more of you who probably should be standing. And
I'm a give you an opportunity in just a moment because I still want you to get this greatest gift that's ever been given which is the gift of salvation. If that's you if you said number one, congratulations fam. You just made the best decision in your entire life
and here's what happens when you've made this decision. You've just been adopted into the family of God.
A part of being in the family of God means this, that you never have to do life alone. And these aren't just sayings that we say, these are things that we mean. So now,
I want to introduce you to some of your brand new family members. I have a gentleman standing right here in the middle of the lobby, middle aisle, pastor Robin. Go ahead and wave both your hands real quick, pastor Robin. Give it up, pastor Robin. He's our care pastor. Here's what you don't know.
Fam, we've we've we've planned a party out in the lobby that's better than the Super Bowl because this last Super Bowl was trash to watch anyways. Okay? So
if if you're standing, ladies, grab your purse. Here's what I want you to do. I'm a countdown from three. I just want you to go out to the lobby. We got some information for you. We've got some stuff for you. We wanna get connected to you, and we're gonna celebrate you as you walk out. Ready? Three, two, one, go. Just head to the lobby. If you're standing, just head to the lobby. Go ahead. Head to the lobby. Head to the lobby. Head to the lobby. Come on, Cornerstone. We can do better than that. We can do better than that. Let's give it up for him. Let's give it up for him. Come on.
So grateful. So thankful for these brand new believers in Jesus. Alright. For the rest of us, let's stand right where we are as we get ready to be dismissed.
If you're in this room and you're a part of the prayer team here at Cornerstone, Cornerstone, I want you to come down to the front really quickly. If you're a part of the prayer team, I want you to come down front now. Come down front now. Don't delay. Come down front real quick.
Here's the reality. For the rest of you who are in this room, you may be saying pastor Brent, I've already given my life to Jesus. However, that message was also for me because I have been running. I
want you to know that there's an entire team of men and women down here who are ready to pray with you. So after I give us our closing prayer, if you need prayer for anything, I want you to come down front. If you're watching online, you can simply text the word prayer to 21999.
And if you still need to give your life to Jesus, there's time you can just go out to the lobby as I'm praying. You can do it on the low so that nobody see you. It's alright. And get connected out there. Let me pray and we'll be dismissed. Lord Jesus,
thank you for dying on that cross for every single person that's in this room. Thank you for dying on that cross for those people who are standing out in the lobby who surrendered their lives to you. We are forever grateful for the sacrifice that you've made.
Now as we get ready to leave this place but never your presence, this is our prayer. Would you watch over us? Would you protect us? Would you lead us? Would you guide us? And when you call God, we make a commitment to say that we will answer.
We give you all the glory, we give you all the honor, we give you all the praise, and it's in Jesus name we pray and give thanks. And everyone said, amen. Bless you Cornerstone. Love you so much. Have a great week.
